Time: 10 am to 4 pm
Place: Southwest Arts Center
Fee: $50.00 plus kit fee
Learn to make those amazing portrait quilts you have seen in quilt shows. The picture shown is award winning quilt “Focus” by instructor Christina Conley.
Students will learn the process for creating a pixel quilt pattern, cutting using the group cutting method and piecing pixel quilt blocks. By the end of the session, each participant will have gained hands-on experience with creating a pixel quilt and will leave equipped to complete the kit started in the class as well as create their own pixel quilt.
For more understanding and inspiration, see the completed version of Vision on display at the Atlanta Quilt Festival and visit pixelquilts.com. (Please note that six blocks (the earring) of the Vision quilt will be created during this class not a full portrait quilt like the one shown).
