LECTURE: Lessons in Vintage Quilts

Peggy Beaman is a quilt maker and the owner of Roswell Quilts near Marietta Square.  She has been designing and making quilts from her home studio for the past 15 years as well as working with Marietta City Schools and Cobb Art Museum on a variety of community projects.  For the past several years Peggy has been studying and collecting vintage quilts and textiles as well as building a small library of fabric dating resources.

During this lecture Peggy will share how she fell in love with the history behind vintage quilts. She will be sharing quilts from her collection and help you learn how to collect, care for and date your own vintage quilts.  There will be time for questions at the end followed by a reception.
