AI Meets Quilting

AI Meets Quilting is a hands-on, beginner-friendly 3-hour class where quilters discover how to use Artificial Intelligence as a creative partner in their design process. Students learn to generate original quilt block ideas, explore custom color palettes, and build visual quilt concepts using free and accessible AI tools — all without any prior technology experience.

 

This class is unlike anything currently offered at quilt festivals. It sits at the intersection of traditional quilting and modern technology, giving participants a genuinely new creative skill they can immediately apply at home.

 

What Every Student Receives

Included in the class fee — no additional materials cost to students:

 

◆ Printed Prompt Cheat Sheet — ready-to-use AI prompts for ChatGPT and Canva AI

◆ Take-Home Reference Guide — tools, workflow, and troubleshooting for continued learning at home

◆ JOY Quilt Pattern — a full written quilt pattern translated from an AI-generated image, 48" × 48" finished

◆ Certificate of Completion — a keepsake to mark their first AI quilting experience

◆ Live instructor demonstration — ChatGPT, Canva AI, and Midjourney all shown on projector

◆ Hands-on practice time — students create their own AI quilt design during class
