Beading for Quilts Class –

Time: 10 am to 1 pm

Place: Southwest Arts Center

Beginner Quilt Beading Class

Add sparkle, texture, and personality to your quilts in this fun beginner-friendly class! You’ll learn the basics of bead selection, simple stitching techniques, and how to securely attach beads to fabric.

  • Creative ways to enhance applique and quilt designs with beads

 

Class Outcomes

By the end of class, you’ll have the skills and confidence to start adding beautiful, eye-catching details to your quilt projects.

 

Supply List:

Bead Class Supply List

Beading Needles - size 10 John Jacobs

Needle Threader - wire threaders (the ones with the head symbol on the handle). Bring several, they break easily.

Seed Beads - size 8, 10 or 11. Look at the beads to see which size you think will be most comfortable for you. 

The beads shown in the class project are mostly 10 and 11.

Small sharp scissors

(Optional)

embroidery hoop 6”

Magnifying glass - must have one that fits over glasses, or in place of glasses or hangs around the neck

 

Kit Fee- $10 includes pattern, thread, bead mat 

 

Continental breakfast and lunch is included.
