About the event
Lecturer Brittany Hervey is the head of Media Relations for the Atlanta Quilt Festival. In her role, she noticed how many festival attendees want to reach quilters but cannot find them on the internet. Instagram is a great way to showcase your quilts and serve as a way for quilt enthusiest, curators, and more to reach you. The best part about Instagram is it's free and has 3 billion active users.
In this hands-on beginner class, quilters will learn how to create an Instagram account, set up a profile, and make their first posts. We’ll cover basic settings, what to post, simple photo tips, captions and hashtags, and how to follow and engage with the quilting community. Bring a smartphone (and your login info for your email) and lots of quilt photos and videos! Extra points if you can have the Instagram app already downloaded on your phone or tablet.
