About the event
Master Quilter Mary Maynard will teach you the basics of hand quilting so that you can make your quilts true heirlooms. Work on your individual project and also join other quilters around an old fashioned quilt frame to practice your stitches .
Supply List:
A hoop or Q-snap frame- A good size would be a 12-14 “ hoop, or a 11”X14” Q-Snap.
A Project that you would like to hand quilt. This can be a small one, or a practice one. You should have a quilt sandwich prepared. Make it big enough to fit in the above sized hoop/frame. For batting, I like to use low loft polyester, as it is easier to quilt. Others like cotton or wool. So prepare your sandwich with whatever batting you prefer.
