Quilter O.V. Brantley uses a fussy cut shoe square in the center of this traditional log cabin setting to create this little art quilt. The quilt’s name — “It’s Midnight Cinderella” — was inspired by the shoes.
The 12x12 inch quilt is quilted by hand in a big stitch and bound in a scrappy blue border. The dominant color of the quilt is blue with one of the logs adding sparkles to the quilt.
The fabric on the back is an African geometric fabric. A label on the back documents the quilt.
This art quilt was created and donated to the Atlanta Quilt Festival by African American quilter O.V. Brantley who lives in Atlanta, GA. O.V. exhibits each year at the Atlanta Quilt Festival. Visit ovbrantleyquilts.com to see more of her quilts.
