Quilter Diane Larrier Collier showcases her mastery of machine quilting with this stunning 12 inch work of art named “Hibiscus”. This quilt features a black polka dot hibiscus in the center of the quilt. It is offset by curved borders. Although it doesn’t show up in the picture, the black border is quilted in a pink metallic thread that adds sparkle to the quilt. The entire quilt is custom quilted in flowers and feather motifs. The polka dot theme is carried out in the binding of the quilt.
Continuing the theme of the quilt, the back of the quilt is also a black and white polka dot print. Diane signed and dated it on the back. This quilt is one-of-a-kind.
This art quilt was created and donated to the Atlanta Quilt Festival by quilter Diane Larrier Collier who lives in Jamaica, NY. Visit the Atlanta Quilt Festival each August to see more of her quilts.
