Erin Sizemore finally found the perfect use for her beloved bird fabric she purchased in Rwanda. She created “Fly Away”, a 12 inch art quilt. Erin’s birds truly look like they are flying away.

Erin pieced and quilted “Fly Away” on her machine. It is bound with a black and gold metallic fabric.

The birds are continued on the back of the quilt. A label documents the quilt.

Erin Sizemore lives and quilts in Smyrna, GA. Visit her on Instagram at @eebs.stitchery  to see more of her work. She donated her quilt to support the programs of the Atlanta Quilt Festival.
